Oncology Division Link & Learn Sessions: Update (March 2024)

We launched the Link & Learn pilot project in September 2023 as an initiative of the Knowledge Translation Portfolio of the Oncology Division. The objectives of our Link & Learn sessions are to:

1. Facilitate the translation and application of research knowledge into clinical practice among physiotherapists working or interested in oncology; and

2. Build a supportive community of practice for Canadian physiotherapists in oncology.

Our Link & Learn sessions are held each month on Thursdays via Zoom.

 

So far, we have held six sessions:

1. Introduction: Overview & Meet-and-Greet (September 7th, 2023)

2. Highlights of the 3rd International Conference on Physiotherapy in Oncology (October 5th, 2023) - recording available here

3. Physiotherapy Considerations in Pediatric-Oncology (October 26th, 2023) – in collaboration with the Paediatrics Division

4. Bridging Gaps in Cancer Rehabilitation: Oncologist Perspective (November 30th, 2023)

5. Compression Management for Head & Neck Lymphedema (January 25th, 2024) – recording available here

6. Cancer Self-Management and Exercise Intervention in Frail Older Adults with Cancer (February 22nd, 2024) – in collaboration with the Seniors’ Health Division. Recording available here (access code was provided to registrants).
